Tips For Completing An Employment Application
|
- Applicants must complete
the Merit System Services IMS-9 application in its entirety for consideration
for a position.
- You may submit an online
application or complete the IMS-9 by hand. Remember to type or write
legibly.
- Include as much information
as is needed to demonstrate that you meet the minimum qualifications
for the position. Re-read the bulletin to address specific qualifications.
- If needed, attach additional
documents that demonstrate your experience, such as a resume. However, do
not simply write “See Resume” on the application form. This is considered
an incomplete application and will be rejected. Likewise, if you are
required to submit a supplemental application or a class list, you must
submit these materials to be considered for the position.
- Be sure to include the
number of hours per week that you worked in each position. If the number
of hours per week varied, list the average.
