Who is eligible for transfer?
|
 |
| A person who has held permanent status
in the Interagency Merit System or any recognized merit system shall be
eligible for transfer. Transfer may be made to any class in which the individual
held permanent status, a comparable class, or in a lower related class,
as determined by Merit System Services. |
 |
|
What are the steps in the process?
|
 |
-
You contact the IMS county department where you want to work, advise them of your
interest and employment background.
-
If the county is interested you may be asked to submit a Merit System Services
Application Form (and a "Release of Information Statement" if appropriate), talk to
them on the phone, personal interview, or any combination thereof.
-
The next step is for the county to submit a letter to Merit System Services, along with
your Merit System Services Application Form (and the "Release of Information Statement"
if appropriate), requesting verification of your eligibility.
-
Merit System Services will verify your eligibility and notify the county as to whether
or not you are eligible for reinstatement or transfer.
